Wanda Goodine
Wanda Joyce Goodine of Perth-Andover, NB, passed away peacefully at the Victoria Glen Manor on Monday, April 12, 2021.

Born in Perth, NB on May 19, 1952, Wanda was the daughter of Alice (Lappage) and Hilton Rideout. She was a member of Calvary Tabernacle, Perth-Andover, NB.

Wanda worked for Department of Health from 1971 to 1979 as Secretary. She resided in Saskatchewan and Alberta for 5 years and worked at Moose Jaw Union Hospital, Swift Current General Hospital and Calgary General Hospital in various capacities. From 1985 to 2010, Wanda worked for Department of Health and Wellness … Medicare. In 2010 Wanda took medical leave due to Parkinson’s disease.

Wanda was active for several years on the Social Committee of Risteen’s Landing, Fredericton, NB. She enjoyed traveling, genealogy and reading

Survived by her husband of 42 years, Daniel Paul Goodine, nine sisters, Donna Bates of Orlando, FL, Shirley (Maurice) Fournier of Fort Fairfield, ME., Barbara (John) McAllister of Amherst, NS, Judy Libby of Fort Fairfield ME., Dian (Kevin) McDougall, of Grand Falls Portage, NB, Angela (Greg) Pelkey of Woodstock, NB, Sherry (Reg) DeMerchant of Perth-Andover, NB, Patsy (Mark) McCarthy of Carlingford, NB, Tina Rideout of Brockville, ON; seven brothers, Wayne (Charlotte) of Aroostook, NB, Robert (Barb) of Centreville, NB, Scott of Lower Kintore, NB, Winston of Perth-Andover, NB, Ross (Barb) of Perth-Andover, NB, Billy of Lower Kintore, NB and Doug (Michelle) of Lower Kintore, NB; mother-in-law Carolyn Goodine of Fredericton, NB, one sister-in-law, Ruth Goodine-Amos of Fredericton, NB; two brothers-in-law, Gerald Goodine (Blair Matheson) of Fredericton, NB and Ken (Patty) Goodine of Dauphin, MB; several nieces and nephews.

Wanda was predeceased by her parents Hilton and Alice (Lappage) Rideout; father-in-law Haley Goodine, an infant brother, Ricky Rideout; infant niece, Wendy Fournier; infant nephew, Andrew Goodine and sisters-in-law, Linda (Scott) Rideout and Maxine (Kenneson) Rideout; two brothers-in-law, Ronald L. Bates and Larry Libby.

Funeral service was held on Friday, April 16, 2021 at 2 pm from Calvary Tabernacle. Rev. David Ferrell officiated, assisted by Rev. James Walton and Mr. Alex Boyd. Interment followed in Hillcrest Cemetery.

Music for the service was by organist Roma Ferrell, Rev. David Ferrell, and soloist Rachel van Raalte. The eulogy was given by Daniel P. Goodine.

Honorary pallbearers were Robert Rideout, Scott Rideout, Doug Rideout, Maurice Founier, Reg DeMerchant, Mark McCarthy, Kevin McDougall, and John McAllister.

Pallbearers were Billy Rideout, Ross Rideout, Wayne Rideout, Winston Riddell, Gerald Goodine, and Gregory Pelkey.

Arrangements were entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home, Perth-Andover, NB.
