Peter Bear
Lawrence Peter Bear of Tobique First Nation, NB Passed away peacefully at the Victoria Glen Manor on April 21st with family members at his side.

Peter was born on Tobique First Nation on September 8, 1933. He is the son of the late Maryann and Peter Joseph Bear. He Leaves behind his sister Eileen Hillier (Charles) of Limestone ME, sister-in-law Katherine Bear, his son Roger Bear (Connie) of Tobique First Nation, grandchildren Siquin Bear (Phil), Neebun Bear (Daniel), Jeanette Bear (Richard), and Muwin Bear (Haley), all of Tobique Nation, 9 great grandchildren, special nephews Kevin Bear (Jennifer), Mike Bear (Bernice), and niece Janet Bear (Brian). Many more nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Peter is predeceased by his 3 brothers, Carl, Lloyd and Wayne Bear all of Tobique First Nation.

Peter enjoyed being with family and friends, always there to help a friend or meet up with friends at a church function. You could always see Peter in Perth walking in the mornings waiting for his favorite coffee shop, Mary’s Bake Shop to open along with many other places he attended daily. Peter worked many years in Maine at the Beckwith Farm where he retired. Peter loved being with people playing cards and sharing stories, he thoroughly enjoyed family functions where he was the first to arrive and usually the last to leave. Peter was a well known jokester and would laugh just as hard while receiving jokes. He will be sadly missed by all family and friends, also his special ladies (we won’t mention any names).

Resting at his granddaughter's house, 57 Main St. Tobique First Nation, NB with visitation starting on Saturday at 12 noon and going until the funeral. Funeral service will be held from St. Mary of the Angels on Monday April 26, 2021 at 11:00 am, Father Curtis Sappier will celebrate.

Donations to the Victoria Glen Manor Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
