Steven Chappel

Steven Chappel of McLaughlin, NB, passed away unexpectedly as the result of a motor vehicle accident on the evening of June 23, 2021.

Steven was born in Plaster Rock, NB, on February 4, 1950. He was the son of the late Walter and Grace (Burgoyne) Chappel. Steven leaves behind his loving wife of 51 years, Gisèle Chappel (Beaulieu); his son, Dean Chappel (Crissie) of Anfield, NB; his grandchildren, Brandon, Hailey, Ava, Zander, and Keifer; his sisters, Lorna Green of Plaster Rock, NB, Winnifred Yates of Minto, NB, Phyllis Coston of Saint John, NB; his brothers, David Webb of Moncton, NB, Kenneth Chappel (Sharron) of Plaster Rock, NB, Douglas Chappel (Lorraine) of Quispamsis, NB, and Malcolm Chappel (Doris) of Saint John, NB; his sister-in-law, Linda Chappel of Saint John, NB.

Steven was predeceased by his parents; his son, Corey Chappel; his sisters, Glenna, Marie, and Kay; his brother, Stanley.

Steven worked for Fraser Lumber for 36 years. He was a former member of the Plaster Rock Golf and Curling Club and enjoyed fishing.

Family and fiends are welcome to attend a celebration of Steven's life to be held on Saturday, July 3, 2021 starting at 4 pm. The gathering will be held at the Plaster Rock Welcome Center and will last for a few hours.

For those who wish, memorial donations to the Victoria County SPCA or to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
