Dorothy Smithkey

Dorothy Anne Smithkey of Perth-Andover, NB, passed away peacefully at her daughter's home in Oakland, NB, on the morning of November 13, 2021.

Dorothy was born in Lerwick, NB, on January 13, 1942. She was the daughter of the late Henry and Lena (Goodine) McAllister. Dorothy leaves behind her daughters, Lanette Virtanen (Mike) of Caribou, ME, Lana Jean Smithkey of Bon Accord, NB, Lisa Pickard (Raymond) of Oakland, NB; her grandchildren, Nathaniel Pickard and Joshua Virtanen; her great grandson, Tristan Virtanen; her sister, Myrtle Chambers of Connecticut; her brothers, Kenneth McAllister (Cecelia) of Moncton, NB, Arnold McAllister (Margaret) of Alberta, Aubrey McAllister of British Columbia; along with many nieces and nephews.

Dorothy was predeceased by her parents; her sister, Mavis Smith; her brother Elery McAllister.

Respecting Dorothy's wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service held. Interment will be in the Melville United Church Cemetery in Kincardine, NB, at a later date.

For those who wish, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
