John Swazey

Following a lengthy illness, John Raymond Swazey of Rowena, NB, passed away peacefully at the Upper River Valley Hospital on the evening of June 30, 2022.

John was born in Rowena, NB, on July 1, 1938. He was the son of the late Raymond and Winifred (McArthur) Swazey. John leaves behind his loving wife, Dianna Swazey (Boone); his daughters, Angela Hudson (Ronnie) of Miramichi, NB, Adena Robinson (Kevin) of Carlingford, NB; his sons, Peter Swazey (Nancy) of Rowena, NB, Perry Swazey (Tammy) of Perth-Andover, NB; his daughter-in-law, Sarah Swazey of Perth-Andover, NB; 13 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

John was predeceased by his parents; his son, Phillip Swazey; his granddaughter, Rachael Godbout; his sisters, Alice Millian, Opal Clark, Ella Boone, Carol Rossignol, and Edith Hitchcock; his brother, Gene Swazey.

Funeral service was held on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at 1 pm from the Perth-Andover Wesleyan Church. Rev. Dwayne Broad officiated. Interment followed in the Rowena Baptist Cemetery.

Music for the service was by Perry Swazey, Erica Sherrick, Jennifer Broad, and Shannon Andersen. The eulogy was given by Angela Hudson, Adena Robinson, Peter Swazey, and Perry Swazey.

Pallbearers were Erica Sherrick, Jamie Swazey, Ashton Swazey, Lucas Robinson, Matt Swazey, and Christopher McCrea.

Arrangements were entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home, Perth-Andover, NB.
