1944-2022

James Everett
Following a lengthy illness, James Dwight Everett of Sisson Ridge, NB, passed away peacefully at his home on the evening of July 24, 2022.

James was born in Plaster Rock, NB, on August 18, 1944. He was the son of the late John Oscar and Mavis (Johnson) Everett. James leaves behind his loving wife of 57 years, Shirley Everett (Rioux); his daughter, Theresa Reed (Ricky) of St. Almo, NB; his son, Robin Everett (Robyn) of Kenora, ON; his grandchildren, Jessica Everett (Cody), Alisa Everett (Michael), and Nolan Reed; his step-grandchildren, Alex Curle (Carly), and Charleigh McFadden (Mike); his sisters, Eloise Zelany of North Bay, ON, Elizabeth Yeomans "Babes" of Sisson Ridge, NB, Mary Anne Burgoyne (Winston) of Weaver, NB, Catherine Reed (Peter) of Plaster Rock, NB, and Ruby DeLeavey of Anfield, NB; his brothers, David Everett (Edith) of Orleans, ON, Jack Everett (Janice) of Burnaby, BC, and Daniel Everett (Mona) of Spruce Grove, AB; along with many nieces and nephews.

James was predeceased by his parents; his parents-in-law, Ivan and Nancy Rioux; his brothers-in-law, Winslow Harding, Clarence DeLeavey, Emery Yoemans, Raymond Brideau, and Paul Zelany; his best buddies, Brian Michaud and Dave Ashworth.

Respecting James' wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral held. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2022 at 11 am from Linton Corner Cemetery. Pastor Dwayne Broad officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Victoria County SPCA or the Mama Bear Cancer Fund would be appreciated by the family.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of the Extra-Mural Program, especially Tina and Erika, for the care given to James during his illness.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home, Perth-Andover, NB.
