Susan Sprague

1954-2022

Susan Sprague
After a 9-month battle with cancer, Susan Sprague passed away on Saturday, December 3, 2022, at Upper River Vally Hospital.

Born in the Perth hospital on August 19th, 1954. The youngest child of the late Henry and Elizabeth “Betty” (Tatlock) DeWitt. Also predeceased by husband police officer Ronald Sprague, sister Cheryl ”Sherry” Bird, her nephew Johnathan Duncan Bird, sister-in-law Audrey Sprague and brother-in-law Phillip Sprague. Survived by only child Tammy Landeen, son-in-law Shawn Landeen, of Caribou, ME, granddaughters Katalyn and Nickole Landeen, stepson Dustin Sprague (Kimberly), stepdaughter Misty Marque (Rino). Susan is also survived by her sister Frances (James) Kennedy of Hinesville, GA. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Susan was well loved. Her whole world was Tammy, Shawn and the girls. Sue was employed by Scotiabank for 30 years, spending her entire career at the Perth branch. She has many cherished friendships from her years there. Sue thoroughly enjoyed riding her motorcycle, so much so that against the advice of her doctors she took her bucket list trip this summer where she rode her bike from Perth to Newfoundland, enjoying 2800 miles of the wind in her hair to escape from her diagnosis. She lived like she loved, with her whole heart. Sue will be greatly missed by all who were touched by her love.

Funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at 6 pm from Brunswick Funeral Home. Rev. Roy Dee officiated. Interment will be in the Riverside Cemetery in Fort Fairfield, ME, at a later date.

The eulogy was given by Sue's granddaughter, Katalyn Landeen.

Honorary pallbearer was Perry Giberson.

Pallbearers were Jayne Barron, Earlen Brayson, Jerry Inman, Celia Inman, Danny Sooley, and Ken Pelletier.

Arrangements were entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home, Perth-Andover, NB.
