Muriel Wright
1927-2022
Muriel Wright of Perth-Andover, NB, passed away peacefully at the
Victoria Glen Manor on December 7, 2022.
Muriel was born in Red Rapids, NB, on May 5, 1927. She was the daughter of the late Basil and Delia (Young) Campbell. Muriel leaves behind her daughter, Anna McNally (Allan) of Cornwallis Park, NS; her grandson, Samuel Tompkins (Lisa) of Presque Isle, ME; her sister, Kathleen Caron of Rochester, NH; seven great grandchildren, six great great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Muriel was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Franklin Wright; her granddaughter, Krista McCallie; her sisters, Marie Fell and Geneva McCarty; her brother, Howard Campbell.
Muriel was a very active member of her community. She taught at the Happy Hours Kindergartens for 21 years. She was the leader of the Junior Auxiliary for 23 years. Was a member of Trinity Anglican Church in Perth-Andover for over 50 years, where she Sunday School for 25 years and was President of the Anglican Women's Auxiliary for over 30 years. She was also a member of Keenagers and volunteered at the Victoria Glen Manor.
Funeral service was held on Saturday, December 10, 2022 at 2 pm from Brunswick Funeral Home. Mr. Kenneth Campbell officiated, assisted by Mrs. Angela Michaud. Interment will be in the Presbyterian Rural Cemetery.
Music for the service was by Mavis McCarty and Jennifer Trites. The eulogy was given by Muriel's daughter, Anna McNally.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Victoria Glen Manor Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
