Hubert Mulherin
1929-2023
The family of Hubert Mulherin announces his peaceful passing at home
on February 20th, 2023 at the age of 93.
Hubert was born in Edmundston on August 2nd, 1929 to the late Marianne and Harry Mulherin. For over 50 years of work, Hubert used his ambition, perseverance, and creativity in the fields of aviation, sports, entrepreneurship, sales, and real estate to better his community. In his leisure, he was an avid outdoorsman who especially enjoyed fishing and golfing. His true passion, however, was his family. He married the love of his life, Nale, in 1951. For 63 years of marriage before her passing, they were each others’ best friends, rocks, and travel buddies as they nurtured their growing family. They made friends wherever they went and loved celebrating life with family.
Hubert is survived by his daughters Ann Deane (Jeff) of Durham Bridge, NB; Jane Howell (late Keith) of Upper Kingsclear, his son Mike (Brenda) of Durham Bridge, NB; his sister Thérèse Mulherin (R. H. S. J.) of St. Basile; 10 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren.
For those who wish, memorial donations to the Atlantic Salmon Conservation, the Red Cross, or la Fondation des Oeuvres de l’Hôtel-Dieu de St-Basile would be appreciated by the family.
Funeral service was held Tuesday February 28th, 2023 at 2:00 pm from the Immaculate Conception Cathedral in Edmundston with Father William Rice officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. The first reading was done by Sr. Thérèse Mulherin, the second reading by Cody Howell and the universal prayers by Andrew Mulherin and Kimberly Fulton. The bookmarks were distributed by Sally, Chloe and Charity Fraser. A tribute was given by Kendra Van Leeuwen and Wesley Deane.
Arrangements were entrusted to Les Résidences funéraires Brunswick Ltée, Edmundston.
