Wilda June Kinney

The death of Wilda June Kinney occurred March 11, 2023 at Hotel Dieu St. Joseph Hospital. Born June 13, 1936 in Simonds, New Brunswick. She was the daughter of the late Wilfred and Ada (Carr) Sherwood. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband John Raymond Kinney: infant daughter Laurie Kinney and daughter Wendy Kinney: 1 son David Kinney: 2 sisters; Elizabeth Cormier and Ethel Gee.

Wilda is survived by her children: Sheila Kinney (Leo Hannigan) of Grand Bay-Westfield, NB; Jeanne Cronk (Warren) of Aroostook, NB; Joe Kinney (Carol Godbout) of Upper Kintore, NB and Paul Kinney (Vicki Skinner) of Perth-Andover, NB; her grandchildren, Tarah, Amanda, Kenny, Clint, Ian, Lukus, Jocelyn, Jessica, Keif, Melissa, Mason, Justin and John Paul; her great grandchildren, Rowan, Rhian, Adrian, Addison, Addyson, Esme, Ensley, Jasper, Jack & Hutton; as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family.

A memorial graveside service will take place at the Wharton Cemetery, Upper Kent, NB, on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at 2 pm. A reception will follow the burial from 4-6 pm at the Perth-Andover Elks Lodge. All are welcome to attend.

Wilda's family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the nurses and doctors of the Palliative Care Unit at Hotel Dieu St. Joseph Hospital for the care she received during her stay there.
