Joseph "Joe" DeMerchant

Following a courageous battle with cancer, Joseph "Joe" DeMerchant of Aroostook, NB, passed away peacefully at the Hotel Dieu St. Joseph Hospital on April 20, 2023.

Joe was born in Hamilton, ON, on May 1, 1961. He was the son of Avis DeMerchant (Pelkey) and the late Newman DeMerchant. Besides his mother, who lives in Aroostook, NB, Joe leaves behind his loving wife, Marilyn DeMerchant (Beveridge); his daughter, Sheena DeMerchant (Dayna Craig) of Aroostook, NB; his step-daughter, Tina Currie (John) of Tilley, NB; his grandson, Nixon DeMerchant-Craig of Aroostook, NB; his brother, Melvin DeMerchant (Colleen) of Aroostook, NB.

Joe was predeceased by his father; his infant daughter, Brooke DeMerchant; and his brother, Randy DeMerchant.

A celebration of Joe's life will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at the Royal Canadian Legion in Perth-Andover, NB, from 2-5 pm. Interment in the Riley Brook Community Cemetery at a later date.
