J. Eric Grant

Following a brief illness, James Eric Grant of Four Falls, NB, passed away peacefully at the Upper River Valley Hospital on July 28, 2023.

Eric was born in Perth-Andover, NB, on April 5, 1953. He was the son of Ruth Grant (Wolverton) and the late Preston Grant. Beside his mother, who is a resident of the Victoria Glen Manor, Eric leaves behind his loving wife, Carolyn Grant (Hitchcock); his daughters, Megan Sappier of Tobique First Nation, NB, Meredith Estey (Bob) of Four Falls, NB; his son, Quintin Grant (Chantale) of Four Falls, NB; his sisters, Bonnie Arnold of Scarborough, ON, Sally Donovan (Steve) of Napanee, ON; his five grandchildren.

Eric was predeceased by his father; his sisters, Marsha Grant and Sharon Davenport.

Eric started working on local farms at a young age. He later worked at the Bon Accord Seed Farm and eventually moved on to the bridge crew for the Department of Transportation. He graduated from the Nova Scotia Agricultural College. He was an avid fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs, always wishing he would see them win one more cup.

Respecting his wishes, a private graveside service will be held.

For those who wish, memorial donations to the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
