Juanita Harrison

The family of Juanita Rhoda (Toner) Harrison sadly announces her passing at home in Plaster Rock, NB, on August 24, 2023, with her family by her side. Juanita was born on August 6, 1932, in Plaster Rock, NB. She was the daughter of the late Mike and Beatrice (Sisson) Toner.

Juanita worked tirelessly beside her husband, the late Clair Harrison, to build the company C. Harrison and Sons as well as raise her family. Family was her life. Besides her four children, she had eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Juanita is survived by her sons, Stephen (Joy) of Oxbow, NB, Tom (Jean) of Millarville, AB, and Harvey (Tammy) of Weaver, NB; her daughter, Barbara (Tom) of Fredericton, NB; her grandchildren, Andrew (Jill), Clay (Tanya), Amy (Steven), Toby (Roksana), Robert, Alanda (David), Tyler (Susan), and Kayla (Karl); her great grandchildren, Dane Zack, Lexie, Genna, Grace, Liam, Henry, and one great grandson on the way; her sister, Helena McCarthy.

Besides her parents and her husband, Juanita is predeceased by her brothers, Darrold, Bertrum, Arnold, Hubert, and Marvin; her sisters, Jacqueline Tingley and Ann McCarthy.

Juanita’s family wishes to extend their gratitude to her health care workers, Ginni Hanson, Grace Ann Deleavey, and Elizabeth Chase for their care and compassion. They would also like to express their gratitude to the staff of the Extra-Mural Program for the care given to her.

Respecting Juanita’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service held. A private graveside service will be held with burial at the Plaster Rock Community Cemetery.
