Douglas Russell
Douglas Vern Russell of Tobique First Nation, NB, passed away unexpectedly at his home on December 16, 2023.

Doug was born in Presque Isle, ME, on November 1, 1964. He was the son of the late Mary Hubachek (Paul). Doug leaves behind his daughters, Heather Jordan of Gray, ME, Tina Cowett of Fort Fairfield, ME, and Treasure Paul of Perth-Andover, NB; his grandchildren, Macy Bowman (Sam), Chase Pyres, Matthew Cowett, Jacob Cowett, and Elliot Perley; his brothers, Joe Russell (fiancée Dwan DeWitt) of Tobique First Nation, NB, Kevin Hubachek and Scott Hubachek, both of Washington State; his niece, Katie Russell (Scott) of Tobique First Nation, NB; his step-children, Bronson Paul and Tina Paul, both from Tobique First Nation, NB; his sister-in-law, Cindy Russell of Perth-Andover, NB.

Doug was predeceased by his mother; his grandparents who raised him, Pious and Harriet Perley; and his partner, Connie Paul.

Funeral service was held on Friday, December 22, 2023 at 1 pm from St. Ann's Catholic Church. Father Curtis Sappier celebrated. Interment followed in the parish cemetery.

Music for the service was by organist Tracey Hamilton and the church choir. The eulogy was given by Doug's daughter, Tina Cowett.

Pallbearers were Chase Pyres, Bronson Paul, Ethan Perley, Scott Parlee, Hector Paul, and Ben Bear.

Arrangements were entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home, Perth-Andover, NB.
