Mary Jean Ladouceur
Following a brief illness, Mary Jean Ladouceur of Perth-Andover, NB, passed away peacefully at the Victoria Glen Manor on the evening of May 4, 2024.

Jean was born in Cornwall, ON, on December 27, 1930. She was the daughter of the late Donald and Josephine (Bergeron) Lalonde. She was married for 67 years to the late Edwin Ladouceur; mother to Judy Smy of Ottawa, ON, John Ladouceur (Beverly) of Prince Albert, SK, Cathy London (Gerald) of Perth-Andover, NB; grandmother to John Ladouceur Jr. (Tammy) of Prince Albert, SK, Sarah Smy (Peter) of Aylmer, QC, Amy Chin (Sheldon) of Saskatoon, SK, Jacob Sullivan (Hannah) Fredericton, NB, Katlyn Sullivan (Luc) of Gatineau, QC; great grandmother to Baeddan, Adrian, Keiran, Tristan, Aurora, and Everlee. Jean was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Jean is predeceased by her parents; her husband, Edwin Ladouceur; her sisters, Irene, Bernadette, Vivian, May, Theresa, Florence, Marguerite, Helen, and Elsie; her brothers, Lloyd, Arnold, and Albert.

Jean was born in Cornwall, ON, and raised in Summerstown, ON. Jean was a loyal and faithful wife and wonderful mother and grandmother. She was full of energy. Her life was filled with raising her family and grandchildren. Jean loved bingo, playing cards, flower gardening. She was creative and artistic, making and selling unique dolls and crafts over the years.

She and her husband moved to Red Rapids, NB, in 1991 where life was enjoyed with family and friends. She will be greatly missed and will remain in the hearts of her family and friends forever.

A special thank you to the staff of the Victoria Glen Manor for their wonderful care and kindness given to Jean.

Respecting Mary Jean's wishes, no visitation or funeral will be held. Interment will be held with family at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Red Rapids, NB, at a later date.

For those who wish, memorial donations to the Victoria Glen Manor Foundation or the Making a Difference Foodbank would be appreciated by the family.
