Hazel Goodine-Powers
Following a courageous battle with cancer and with her family by her side, Hazel Marie Goodine-Powers of Morrell Siding, NB, passed away peacefully at her sister's home in Lake Edward, NB, on the evening of May 4, 2024.

Hazel was born in Perth-Andover, NB, on May 11, 1955. She was the daughter of the late Charles Williams and Ida (St. Peter) Crawford. Hazel leaves behind her daughter, Wendy Goodine (Dan Aube) of Plaster Rock, NB; her sons, Lawrence Goodine (Tracy Sullivan) of Grand Manan, NB, Chad Goodine (Maggie) of Aroostook, NB; 21 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; her step-children, Wayne Green of Grand Manan, NB, and Penny Levesque (Michael Ouellette) of Wapske, NB; her sisters, Frances Watson (Carman) of Terrace, BC, Laura McFarland (Ian) of Cochran, AB, Bertha Urquhart (Larry) of Grand Manan, NB, Milli Watson (Paul) of Lake Edward, NB; her brothers, Freeman Williams of Calgary, AB, Byron Williams of Clearwater, BC, and Charlie Williams of Clearwater, BC; along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Hazel was predeceased by her parents; her first husband, Lawrence Goodine; her second husband, Gary Powers; her sisters, Elizabeth Albert, Velma McLaughlin, Bernadine Greene, and Wanda Lagace; her brothers David and Roland Williams.

Funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at 11 am from Amazing Grace Church. Pastor Roy Dee officiated. Interment followed in the Mountain View Cemetery.

Music for the service was by Barbara Moran and Isaac Tracey. The eulogy was given by Maxine LaFontaine.

Pallbearers were Carson Goodine, Trey Goodine, Colby Goodine, Hunter Goodine, Garrett Patton, Darren Patton.

Arrangements were entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home, Perth-Andover, NB.
