Gilbert Dee

Following a lengthy illness, Gilbert Dee of Limestone, ME, passed away peacefully at the Cary Medical Center in Caribou, ME, on the evening of May 28, 2024.

Gilbert was born in Perth-Andover, NB, on November 9, 1955. He was the son of the late Nicholas and Bonita (Butler) Dee. Gilbert leaves behind his daughter, Kelly Desjardins (Daniel) of Grand Falls, NB; his step-daughter, Julie Hafford of Limestone, ME; his grandchildren, Logan Desjardins and Avalon McMahon; his sisters, Marie Mulherin (Joe) of Edmonton, AB, Christina Guerrette of St-André, NB, Martina Diamond (Danny) of St-André, NB, Shirley Dee-Glen of Limestone Siding, NB, Bonnie McCarthy (Stephen) of Grand Falls, NB, and Joani Dee-Hill of Fredericton, NB; his brothers, Roger Dee of Limestone Siding, NB Gordon Dee (Derek) of Fredericton, NB; along with many nieces and nephews.

Gilbert was predeceased by his parents; his wife, Vella Pelletier; his brother, Richard Dee; his nephew, Shawn Dee; and his brother-in-law, Joseph Glen.

Respecting Gilbert's wishes, there will be no funeral held. A private graveside service will be held at the Donovan Cemetery, California Settlement, NB.

For those who wish, memorial donations to the Donovan Cemetery or the NB Lung Association would be appreciated by the family.
