Ramona "Mona" Lunn

Ramona "Mona" Lunn of Hazeldean, NB, passed away peacefully at the Grand Falls General Hospital on the evening of June 4, 2024.

Mona was born in Hazeldean, NB, on October 18, 1937. She was the daughter of the late Tony (DeLeva) DeLeavey and Effie (Mockler) DeLeavey. Mona leaves behind her children, Cynthia Meeler of Debary, FL, Karen Lunn of Crombie Settlement, NB, and Calvin Lunn of Plaster Rock, NB; her grandsons, Joshua, Blake, and Logan Sutherland; her great grandchildren, Issac and Bailey Sutherland; her brother, James DeLeavey of Three Brooks, NB; along with an aunt, uncle, several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Mona was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Dawson Lunn; her sisters, Phyllis Ferguson and Floris Fields; her brothers, Kenneth and Terry DeLeavey.

Funeral service was held on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at 2 pm from the Tobique Chapel. Rev. Dwayne Broad officiated. Interment followed in the Anfield Community Cemetery, next to her beloved husband, Dawson.

The eulogy was read by Irene DeLeavey. Hymns for the service were "Amazing Grace" and "Let's Meet by the River". The urn was carried by Mona's grandson, Joshua Sutherland.

The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses of the Grand Falls General Hospital for their excellent care and compassion to Mona and her family.
