Deborah "Debbie" Sheehey
Following a courageous battle with cancer, Debbie Sheehey of Enterprise, NB, passed away peacefully at her home on the evening of June 15, 2024.

Debbie was born in Toronto, ON, on March 27, 1954. She was the daughter of the late Donald and Mary Ruth Ellen (Lindsay) Chadwick. Debbie leaves behind her children, Serena and Geoff McDermid of Ransomville, NY, Chad Sheehey (Natalie) of Parry Sound, ON, Diane Sheehey of Midland, ON; her grandchildren, Matthew and Candace McDermid; her great grandchild, Rence; her brothers, Sutton King of New Brunswick and Brian King of Saint John, NB; along with several in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

Debbie was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Greg Sheehey on June 24, 2015; her brother, Hibbard King.

Debbie called many places home during her life. She was born in Toronto, ON, but grew up in Keswick, ON. She also lived in Jackson Point, Sutton, New Liskeard, Fort Frances, Parry Sound, Midland, then finally made her way to her "home" in Enterprise, NB (Plaster Rock).

Debbie drove a school bus, taught a college course on how to drive school bus, worked at a resort, volunteered at Pond Hockey and the Lions Club, and shared her wisdom with many.

Debbie enjoyed many activities. Among her favorites were moose and deer hunting, fishing, long drives, Pond Hockey. However, her most favorite pastime was spending time with her family. Debbie was a wonderful and loving mother who did everything for her children.

Debbie also loved to support the local SPCA by purchasing all of their Christmas items.

A celebration of Debbie's life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch # 29, in Plaster Rock, NB, on Saturday, June 22, 2024 from 5-7 pm.

For those who wish, memorial donations to the Mama Bear Cancer Fund or the Victoria County SPCA would be appreciated by the family.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home, Perth-Andover and Plaster Rock, NB.
