Deborah "Debbie" Porter

Deborah "Debbie" Porter of Plaster Rock, NB, passed away peacefully at the Tobique Valley Manor in the early hours of Tuesday, September 2, 2025.

Debbie was born in Plaster Rock, NB, on September 28, 1952. She was the daughter of the late George Noah and Betty Violet (Boyce) Ruff. Debbie leaves behind her daughters, Penny Tomblin (Scott) of Guelph, ON, Nicole Lagacy of Oxbow, NB; her sons, Tracy Porter (Becky Ward) of Plaster Rock, NB, Timothy (Bonnie) of Plaster Rock, NB, Troy Porter (Melanie Burns) of Oxbow, NB, Jeff Porter (Caroline) of Oxbow, NB; 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; her sisters, Linda Ruff of Plaster Rock, NB, Barbara Green (Doug) of Maple View, NB, and Pam Nicholas of Fredericton, NB; her brother, John Ruff of Two Brooks, NB; along with many nieces and nephews.

Debbie was predeceased by her parents; her partner of 32 years, Brian Dixon; her brothers, Derek, Edward, and David Ruff; her sisters-in-law, Theresa Ruff and Debbie Ruff.

Funeral service was held on Friday, September 5, 2025 at 11 am from the Tobique Chapel. Rev. T.D. McGuire officiated. Interment followed in the Burntland Brook Cemetery.

Music for the service was by Norm McGuire. Remembrances were shared by Tracy Nobel, Tanya Long, and Troy Porter.

The honorary pallbearer was Tim Porter.

Pallbearers were Scott Tomblin, Troy Porter, Elliott Nunn, Landon Douglas, Wayne Green, and Malcolm Ruff.
