Annie McCann
1948-2026
Following a period of declining health, Annie Elisabeth McCann of
Plaster Rock, NB, passed away peacefully at the Tobique Valley Manor
on Friday, June 12, 2026.
Annie was born in Copenhagen, Denmark on July 19, 1948. She was the daughter of the late Cris and Tove (Neilsen) Sorensen. Annie leaves behind her loving husband of 56 years, James McCann; her son, James T. McCann (late Catherine) of Africa; her sister, Berget (Anker) of Denmark; her best friends, Don and Karen Robinson of Niagara Falls, ON, Alban Watson of Lake Edward, NB, Rose Watson of Lerwick, NB, Alfred Watson and Darla Lamb of Arthurette, NB, and Bliss and Valery Burgoyne of Plaster Rock, NB.
Annie is predeceased by her parents; her daughter, Elisabeth "Lisa" McCann; her daughter-in-law, Catherine McCann; and her brother, Bent Sorensen.
Respecting Annie's wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service held.
Annie's family would like to thank the entire staff of the Tobique Valley Manor for the incredible care and compassion given to her during her stay there.
For those who wish, memorial donations to the Tobique Valley Manor would be appreciated by the family.
