Eugene Lanto

Following a lengthy illness, Eugene Arthur Lanto of Perth-Andover, NB, passed away peacefully at the Upper River Valley Hospital on Friday, June 26, 2026.

Eugene was born in Perth-Andover, NB, on May 31, 1952. He was the son of the late Richard and Elsie (Archer) Lanto. Eugene Leaves behind his loving wife, Norma Lanto (Bell); his sons, Matthew Lanto and Michael Lanto (Kendra Sparks), both of Perth-Andover, NB; his sisters, Barbara DeMerchant (Arnold), Alice Chaney, and Nancy Giberson; his brothers, Douglas Lanto, Richard Lanto (Gaynell), Kenneth Lanto, and Robert Lanto (Lila); along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Eugene is predeceased by his parents; his sisters, Daisy Lanto, Rose Lanto, and Faye White; his brother, Mark Lanto.

A celebration of Eugene's life will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 2026 at 2 pm from Brunswick Funeral Home. Rev. Dwayne Broad officiating.

For those who wish, memorial donation to the NB Alzheimer Society or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
