Christopher Michaud
With his wife and daughters at his bedside, Christopher Michaud of Plaster Rock, NB, passed away very peacefully at the Grand Falls General Hospital on the morming of July 14, 2026.

Chris was worn in Aldershot, England, on December 23, 1945 and he came to Canada as a baby.

Known for his honesty and hard work ethic, he lived each day for his family. He worked in the woods as a skidder owner / operator for many years. Weekends were spent in the garage, keeping his equipment in top shape.

His younger years saw Chris spending a lot of his free time at Spuds Speedway, where he took home lots of trophies, a highlight of his life. Later in life he became a truck driver with the same work ethic.

He enjoyed his friends and spent many long days and evenings doing repairs on many vehicles.

His family was his pride and joy... spending lots of time with those he loved most.

Chris leaves to mourn Angie (Ward), his wife of 42 years, his daughters Shelly (Vaughan) Rasmussen of Anfield, Kristin (Roch) Ouellette and Mariah (Brody) Gillett both of Grande Prairie, AB, his stepdaughter Jennifer (Greg) Yeomans of Calgary , AB. And son Jeff. Grandsons Bryson Rasmussen (Megan), Colby Ouellette, and Cash Clowes. Granddaughters Alysia Rasmussen (Cody), Avery Ouellette and Brittany Michaud. His brothers, Timmy (Tammy), Alan, Barry all of Plaster Rock, Keith (Wonda) of Calgary AB. Sisters Jennifer Elliott of Plaster Rock and Sheila (Eric) Kinney of Tilley, NB. Plus numerous aunts and uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He lost many friends over the years and leaves behind many more.

Chris was predeceased by his parents Auguste and Elsie Michaud, his first wife Lorraine Michaud (Albert), and their two infant daughters, Kimberly and Holly. His daughter Chelsea, his sister Debbie St-Peter and in-laws Roland St-Peter, Billy Elliott, Marise Michaud, and Linda Michaud.

The family would like to thank the Grand Falls General Hospital staff and especially Dr. Josée Martin for the excellent care during Chris' last few days.

Respecting Chris' wishes, there will be no funeral service held. A celebration of Chris' life will be held at the Plaster Rock Royal Canadian Legion on Sunday, July 26, 2026 from 1-3 pm. All are welcome to attend. A private burial will follow at the Assumption Catholic Cemetery in Blue Bell, NB.

For those who wish, memorial donations to the Victoria County SPCA or to Prolasa would be appreciated by the family.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home, Perth-Andover and Plaster Rock, NB.
