Derek Stevenson

Derek Paul Stevenson of Perth-Andover, NB, formerly of Plaster Rock, NB, passed away peacefully at Hotel Dieu St. Joseph Hospital on July 21, 2026.

Derek was born in Plaster Rock, NB, on March 12, 1970. He was the son of the late Robert and Alice (Simpson) Stevenson. Derek leaves behind his brothers, Rocky Stevenson of Oxbow, NB, and James Stevenson of New Brunswick; his special friend, Georgine Swim of Perth-Andover, NB; and several nieces and nephews.

Derek was predeceased by his parents; his two sons; his brother, Van Stevenson in 2020; his aunt, Joyce Berger; and his uncle, Gilbert Simpson.

Respecting Derek's wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service held. A private graveside service will be held at the Riley Brook Community Cemetery.

Derek's family would like to thank the medical staff at Hotel Dieu St. Joseph Hospital and the Extra-Mural nursing staff for the excellent care given to him.

Also, a special thank you to Stewart Dunster for all he did for Derek over the years.
