Lee Kinney

Following a brief illness, Lee Kinney of Caribou, ME, passed away peacefully at the Cary Medical Center on July 23, 2026.

Lee was born in Fort Fairfield, ME, on September 8, 1960. He was the son of the late Wendell and Winford Kinney of Mars Hill, ME. Lee leaves behind his loving wife, Dolores Kinney (Butler); his son Christopher (Melissa) and their three children; Dolores' children, Ernest Till (Amanda), Ryan Bechtel (Laken), and Heath Bechtel (Jennifer); his brothers and sisters, Mary Dorr (Barry), Rita Wilson (Darrol), Crinia Warner, Wendell Kinney, and Joanne Richardson (Perry); along with many nieces and nephews.

Lee is predeceased by his parents; his brother, Stephen Kinney Sr.; and his sisters, Athil Kinney and Susan Sealy.

Lee was employed by various employers such as McQuade's Construction in Mars Hill, ME, and Patterson Sign in Limestone, ME. He also spent time working with his father as a delivery driver.

Special thanks goes to Rita Wilson and Lori York for their constant care to Lee. Also, to his loving wife Dolores, her neighbour, Lynn Place, and her sister and brother-in-law, Kathy and Eric Till.

A private celebration of Lee's life will be held at a later date. Interment will be in the Sunset Cemetery in California Settlement, NB.
