Peter Lewis
1943-2014
Following a brief illness, Peter Lewis of Plaster Rock passed away at
Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on January 13, 2014.
Peter was born in Plaster Rock on February 2, 1943, he was the son of the late Irvine and Muriel (Leaman) Lewis. Peter leaves behind his daughter Marnie Daigle (Jan) of Wabush, NL, his sisters Thora Locke of Geary, NB, Shirley Lewis of Plaster Rock, Judith Campbell (Kenneth) of Enterprise Road; sister and brother-in-law David and Amber Ashworth of Three Brooks; nieces and nephews Shannon Bolduc (Francois) of Fredericton, Lindsay MacKenzie (Angus) of Quispamsis, Wyatt Ashworth (Kristin Petersen) of Fredericton; great nieces and nephews Emily and Ashley Bolduc, Merrick and Calder MacKenzie; many nieces and nephews including Cora Pelletier, Penny Linders, Tim Steeves, John Steeves, Richard Steeves, and Heather Locke; and his four-legged friends Sassy and Mittens. He was predeceased by his parents and his wife Leila Lewis (Ashworth); and his sister Erva Steeves.
Funeral service was held on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at 3 pm from the Tobique Chapel. Rev. Amanda Longmoore officiated. Interment followed in Linton Corner Cemetery.
Music for the service was by Peter Penny. The eulogy was given by Amber Ashworth. The urn was carried by Tim Steeves.
Arrangements were entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home, Perth-Andover and Plaster Rock.
