Janet Jamer
Janet Jamer of Perth-Andover passed away at Hotel Dieu St. Joseph Hospital on March 1, 2014.

Born in Caldwell Brook, NB, on February 25, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Lillie (Boone) Caldwell. Janet leaves behind her husband Richard Jamer; her daughters Susan Barrett (Ronald) of Waterville, Carolyn Campbell (Gary) of New Maryland, Sheila Cummings (Ron) of Perth-Andover, Anne Jamer-Michaud (Daniel) of Gatineau, Quebec; her sons Richard Jamer Jr. (Jeanne) of Fall River, NS, Bill Jamer (Bernice) of Orleans, ON, Murray Jamer (Alberta) of Fredericton, Jim Jamer (Sandra) of Moncton, Paul Jamer (Charlene) of Fall River, NS; her sister Eva Brown of Bathurst; her brother Benjamin Caldwell of Halifax, NS; 25 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents; her son Patrick Jamer; her sisters Blanche Furge, Edythe Penny; and her brothers Wendell Caldwell, Lawrence Caldwell and Sinclair Caldwell.

Janet was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary Legion Branch #36 and also a member of the Perth-Andover United Baptist Church. She graduated from the Perth High School in June 1945. She married Richard Barrett Jamer on February 8, 1947.

Funeral service was held on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at 3 pm from the Perth-Andover Baptist Church. Rev. Michael Fredericks officiated. Interment will be in the Perth-Andover Baptist Cemetery at a later date.

Music for the service was by pianist Marianne Bell, cellist Emmanuel Ortega, and soloist Peter Penny. Remembrances were shared by Paul Jamer and Sheila Cummings.

Honorary pallbearers were Chris Barrett, Rick Jamer, Heather Campbell, Jessica Jamer, Carl Cummings, Jimi Jamer, Sarah Jamer, and Sam Michaud.

Arrangements were entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home, Perth-Andover.
